Ninth Edition of Imperium Festival Announced: Featuring Umek, Paolo Barbato, and Space Motion
The ninth edition of the Imperium Festival in Bihać has been announced and will take place from August 2nd to 4th on the City Island. This small island, surrounded by the Una River, will host the main guests of the Imperium Festival this summer – Umek, Paolo Barbato, and Space Motion, along with a plethora of regional names such as Angelo Anx, Fedja Knajdl, G Edd, Ena Smajić, Chuby, Eduy, Inis, Desh, Albina, Irfan F, Moshpit, and Herrera.
This year’s festival edition was announced at the first panel discussion “Imperium Paradise,” where, besides presenting the ninth edition of the festival itself, there was also a discussion on the festival’s offerings and the potential for the tourist development of Bihać as a festival destination.
With almost 30 years of experience behind him, Umek continues to exude incredible passion, delivering unforgettable sets to the audience with enthusiasm. Known not only for his height but also for his energetic techno and the 1605 label, when he’s not releasing music under his stage name Umek, his production skills can be caught under one of his numerous pseudonyms – depending on the sound he wants to produce.
Paolo Barbato is an Italian house master with a music career spanning more than a quarter of a century. He has been living and breathing music since the 1980s, and for almost 12 years, he ran an important record store that supplied Northern Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, and the rest of the region. From the moment in 2002 when he fully committed to DJing and production, he not only left a significant mark on the Italian electronic music history but also made a substantial contribution to our regions as a resident of the legendary Ambasada Gavioli.
Space Motion is a well-known DJ and the owner of the eponymous label, who has built his name in the progressive scene by blending a unique mix of techno, tech, progressive, and deep house in his sets and productions. The name Space Motion is indispensable on lineups around the world, whether in clubs or at festivals. He is the creator of the hit “Yeke Yeke.”
